Neil Rao is a Partner in McKinsey’s Seattle office and leads McKinsey’s Provider Growth service line and the Provider sub-domain within the Firm’s Center for US Healthcare Reform. Upon joining the Firm, Neil focused on provider strategy across the spectrum of US health systems, also serving clients in the UK, Canada, and Australia. Over recent years, he has expanded his scope and works with regional health plans and post-acute players on strategic issues, as well as private equity clients.
Previously, Neil worked at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown University Law Center, with The Lancet Commission on Investing in Health, as an Associate with Milbank, Tweed, Hadley, & McCloy (Singapore), and as a Research Assistant with former US Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers.
Neil received his JD from Harvard Law School and both his MPH and BA in English from the University of Michigan.
