Chris Leech, a Senior Partner in McKinsey’s Pittsburgh office, has led the firm’s North American Retail and Commercial Banking Practice for much of the past decade. His work with McKinsey focuses on strategy, revenue management, and operations effectiveness for a wide range of health insurance and financial institutions.
He recently redesigned the go-to-market strategy for a commercial banking transaction services provider, and defined a sales and marketing strategy for a multiline financial services company to accelerate new client acquisition and cross-business cross-sell using both traditional and new channels. In addition, he recently defined the post-crisis corporate strategy for one of North America’s largest consumer and commercial banks, and has been improving the efficiency of the core risk management functions, reflecting the new regulatory environment, across consumer, small business and commercial businesses. Chris also leads several of the Banking Practice’s knowledge development priorities.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Chris worked in corporate finance at JPMorgan and in several manufacturing positions at Westinghouse Electric. Chris received his MBA and BS degree in mechanical engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University.
