Florian Schaudel


Florian Schaudel is a Partner in McKinsey’s Frankfurt office and co-leads McKinsey’s global private health insurance vertical. He has broad experience in all parts of the health insurance business model from market assessment and strategy, technical capabilities improvement and payment integrity to digital transformation of health insurance business models.

Florian received a PhD in mechanical engineering from Technische Universität Karlsruhe in Germany and MSc in mathematics from Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg in Germany. Recent articles of Florian’s include “Winning in private health insurance through technical excellence” (McKinsey & Company, April 2017), “Global private payors: A trillion-euro growth industry” (McKinsey & Company, December 2016), and “Debunking the Three Leading Misperceptions about Health Care IT” (Health International, 2010, Issue 10).
