Dr. Scott Lichtenberger


Scott Lichtenberger, a Partner in McKinsey’s Denver office, has been with the firm for about ten years. A gastroenterologist by training, Scott focuses on the healthcare sector with a special emphasis on healthcare strategy and operations.  Scott also leads McKinsey’s healthcare practice Provider Performance Improvement domain.

Scott is a graduate of the University of Colorado’s internal medicine residency program and completed his gastroenterology fellowship training at Yale University. He received his medical degree from Indiana University and holds a BA degree in economics from Northwestern University. Scott also previously served as Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer for University of Colorado Health. He also spent time as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado Hospital.

A recent article of Scott’s is “Provider scale strategies: The evolving landscape” (McKinsey & Company, September 2016).
