Sarah Calkins Holloway


Sarah is a Partner in McKinsey’s San Francisco office and counsels healthcare providers on strategic and operational topics. She has worked with a range of providers from healthcare systems, community hospitals, and specialized providers including academic medical centers and children’s hospitals. She helps providers transform their performance, ensure a sustainable financial position, and enable the entire organization to provide the highest level of patient care.

Sarah leads our revenue cycle management center of excellence, which includes dedicated RCM team members and a range of proprietary tools and analytics.  In addition, she has extensive experience in corporate center and functional transformations, and a particular focus on specialized academic and children’s hospitals.

Outside McKinsey, Sarah worked in international development with Ashoka in Colombia, advising on housing industry business models. She was also a volunteer consultant in Nicaragua, Kenya, and Rwanda, with TechnoServe.

Sarah received an MBA from University of Pennsylvania—Wharton School, an MA degree in international studies and Spanish language from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA in social studies from Harvard University.
