Drew Ungerman

Senior Partner

Drew Ungerman, a Senior Partner in McKinsey’s Dallas office, leads the Firm’s Global Healthcare Operations practice and the Americas Healthcare Core Capabilities, including Strategy, Operations, Marketing & Sales, Finance, and Restructuring. He advises clients across the healthcare value chain on strategy and operations and large employers on healthcare and employer benefits strategies. His views on healthcare operations and strategies have been widely published in many leading periodicals.

Over the past two decades, Drew has driven major transformations at many of the country’s largest public and nonprofit enterprises and achieved step change impact while re-positioning those organizations for long-term growth and sustainability.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Drew was an investment banker, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, with Goldman Sachs. His is also a Dallas Citizens Council Member.

Drew received his MBA from Stanford University—Graduate School of Business and AB in political science from Stanford University where he was elected Presidential Scholar and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Drew published the article “How sourcing excellence can lower hospital costs” (McKinsey & Company, February 2010).
