Drew Ungerman

Senior Partner

Drew Ungerman, a director in McKinsey’s Dallas office, leads the Firm’s Global Healthcare Operations practice and the Americas Healthcare practice for the Southern Americas. He advises clients across the healthcare value chain on strategy and operations and large employers on healthcare and employer benefits strategies. His views on healthcare operations and strategies have been widely published in many leading periodicals. In his role as leader of both the Purchasing and Supply Chain and Healthcare Operations practices at McKinsey, Drew has driven long-term transformations at many of the country’s largest public and nonprofit companies. Recent engagements include a multi-year procurement and operations transformation at five of the ten largest provider networks, and a multi-year procurement and operations transformations at three of the largest healthcare services organizations across all clinical and administrative categories.

Before joining McKinsey, Drew was an investment banker, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, with Goldman, Sachs & Co. He holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and was elected an Arjay Miller scholar. He also received a BA degree, with distinction, from Stanford University, where he was elected a Presidential Scholar and graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
